Val’s Cakes & Treats

My love for baking started long before Val’s Cakes ever became a business. I’ve been baking since I was about 10 years old, teaching myself along the way and always looking for something new to create. I became the person who made the cakes for birthdays and celebrations in my family, and I loved challenging myself with new designs, techniques, and ideas.

As I got older, baking became more than just something I loved to do. During a season of my life when I was a single mom raising two boys, making cakes became an important way for me to help financially support my family. What started as a passion became something that helped carry us through that chapter of our lives.

Through different seasons, baking has always been there.

This year, I decided it was time to truly invest in the gift and passion I’ve had since I was a little girl. I began taking Val’s Cakes more seriously, stepping outside of just what I knew, exploring new desserts and flavors, expanding my menu, and challenging myself creatively.

Now I’m creating more than cakes — from gourmet cookies and cinnamon rolls to mini loaf cakes and specialty treats — while continuing to grow, learn, and push myself with every order.

When I look at Val’s Cakes today, I don’t see a business that just started this year. I see something that has been growing with me since I was 10 years old — through motherhood, hard seasons, celebrations, and so many chapters of my life.

And I’m excited to see where it grows from here. 🩵
