Some stories begin with a grand business plan. Ours began with a jar of flour, water, and a sourdough starter that had absolutely no idea what it was getting into.
What started as a little kitchen experiment quickly became something much more meaningful.
Baking had always held a special place in my heart. Growing up, it was a source of comfort, creativity, and connection. Somewhere between the responsibilities of adulthood, motherhood, and everything life throws our way, I'd lost touch with that part of myself.
Then came BellaDoughna.
As I learned to nurture a sourdough starter, I found myself baking more and more. And somewhere between the flour-covered countertops and the joy of sharing something homemade, I started finding my way back to myself.
That's how The Novarow Crumb Co. began.
Named after our two children, Nova and Rowan, this little bakery is built on the belief that food can do more than satisfy a craving. It can bring comfort, create memories, and remind people they're cared for.
Today, every cinnamon roll, cookie, and loaf of sourdough is a little piece of that journey. Made with intention, shared with love, and occasionally accompanied by a minor kitchen catastrophe.
Because life isn't always picture-perfect, but there's something pretty magical about sharing a little sweetness along the way.
