About Homestead In The City
Hi, I'm Kimberly, the baker behind Homestead In The City!
My love for baking really began in 2023. What started as a hobby quickly turned into a passion, and before long I was selling my homemade breads and treats at farmers markets in my hometown of Kissimmee, Florida. Along the way, I met so many wonderful customers and fellow vendors who encouraged me to keep growing.
In 2025, our family relocated to Lehigh Acres for my husband's job, and I found myself starting my business all over again. While it wasn't easy, it gave me the opportunity to build something even more meaningful for my new community.
My dream has always been simple; to share fresh, homemade food made with quality ingredients while bringing a little bit of the homestead lifestyle to those around me. I have a small backyard garden where I grow herbs and seasonal produce, and as my garden grows, I look forward to sharing those harvests with my customers.
Every item is made with care in my Florida cottage kitchen. Our specialty breads—including bagels, sandwich bread, dinner rolls, and burger buns are available by pre-order to ensure they're as fresh as possible.
Each weekend you'll also find our homemade pancake and waffle mixes, taco seasoning, ranch seasoning (perfect for dips or dressing), essential oil bug spray, and relaxing botanical bath salts complete with a tiny wooden scoop and reusable mesh tea bag to keep the flower buds out of your drain.
Of course, no visit is complete without something sweet! Every weekend you'll find a rotating selection of freshly baked cinnamon rolls, thick and fudgy brownies, oversized bakery-style muffins, and cookies. Favorite flavors include S'mores, Kitchen Sink, Chocolate Chunk, Stuffed Reese's Peanut Butter, and Banana Pudding, with new flavors appearing throughout the seasons.
