Every bake is handcrafted in my home bakery in Springfield, Missouri and naturally leavened with “Mary,” my 9-year-old sourdough starter. Mary brings a gentle, well-rounded flavor—never overly sour—just the kind of depth that makes simple food feel special.

About us
At Cozy Cottage Bakes, I bake fresh, comforting breads and treats designed to bring a little extra warmth to your table—without the work of making it yourself. Everything is handmade in small batches in Springfield, Missouri, and naturally leavened with “Mary,” my 9-year-old sourdough starter from St. Marys, Kansas, who gives each loaf a gentle, yogurt-like tang and rich flavor.
My Hearth Loaves are crafted from a signature artisan sourdough recipe with a chewy crust and open, flavorful crumb. Favorites include Classic, Golden Jalapeño, Tuscan Herb & Cheese, and seasonal varieties.
For softer everyday bread, my Cottage Loaves are tender, toastable, and perfect for sandwiches, toast, and simple meals, with flavors like Cinnamon Swirl, Cinnamon Raisin, Honey Oat, and seasonal specialties. I also offer sourdough focaccia, scones, and Hearthstone Pizza Crusts—ready to turn any meal into something special.
